INTRODUCTION
This event management training course is a practical and interactive course that will provide you with a structured approach to operational and creative fundamentals, from inception to debrief.
AIM
The aim of the course is simply to inspire delegates to deliver great events and give them the confidence to tackle bigger and more ambitious events.

Anybody with an interest in event management who is involved in planning, delivering or authorizing events.

- Understand the key elements of a conference and the processes involved in format and venue selection, registration, catering, accommodation, transport, theming, security and entertainment
- Understand the technical nature of Event Management – the types of lights, their positioning for maximum effects, the video coverage, cameras, etc.
- Understand management essentials such as developing budgets, critical paths, work breakdown structures, risk mitigation and contingency planning
- Understand opportunities and challenges such as sponsorship, marketing, publicity and stakeholder management as they relate to conference and corporate event management.

- Delivering a safe well run event and write event risk assessments
- Leading and motivating your event team
- Evaluating your events success
- Delivering a successful event of which you can be proud of
COURSE CONTENTS
The program comprises of the following:

- The Eight (8) Step QCCD Event Planning Process
- Purpose: Event research, reasons to event, feasibility study, audience profile
- Presentation: Event design and creation, types and kinds of events, themes, setting event date
- Planning: Event projects plans, picking the right team: contractors, insurance, budgeting and budget development
- Place: Critical paths and work breakdown structures, setting venue criteria, searching and evaluating venue, site visits, preparing site plans
- Program: Designing and running your event program, booking acts, entertainment and speakers, catering, encouraging participation
- Promotion: Event marketing, promotional plans, writing event copy
- Production: Delivering your event, operational plans, managing your suppliers, event health and safety and risk assessments
- People: Leading your events teams, event evaluation and return.

- Training
The participants will be imparted theoretical knowledge and skills in a highly interactive environment. Practical aspects of this training will involve hands-on exercises. All course and learning material would be provided.
- Number of Participants
It is the policy of QCCD not to place restrictions on the number of delegates; we leave it to the client’s needs and better judgment. However, we suggest batches of 12 to 18 delegates per session to create the right environment for productive concentration.

This is a 1-day program; Total 8 hours.
