Certificate in Professional Marketing- Level 4

Those who successfully achieve this qualification will be able to understand the wider role of marketing and how their practical skills can be applied to their career progression within the marketing profession.

 

 

Designed with complete flexibility in mind to achieve the Foundation Certificate in Marketing, a pass in the mandatory module and one elective module is required. However, each module can be achieved as a distinct, self-contained award which can be built up to attain the full certificate.





   

WHO IS THE FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE IN MARKETING FOR?

The Foundation Certificate in Marketing is aimed at those either in a job that already involves marketing or those who wish to find out about marketing with the intention of starting out on a marketing career.

Note: This level open to anyone who wishes to involve or find a job in sales and marketing.

QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE

Our qualification and award pathways have been structured to reflect the need for a flexible and bite-size approach for today’s marketer. This qualification consists of two mandatory modules. However, you can choose to complete just one module and gain an award. Should you choose to continue to study and successfully complete the second module, you will achieve the full qualification.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 

It is not necessary to have any previous experience or knowledge of marketing and you can choose to study in a way that suits your requirements and availability. We do, however, ask that if English is not your first language, you provide us with evidence that you have achieved – within the past two years – either an IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass being at 6.0 or above) or the Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English at grade B or above. CIM CERTIFICATE IN PROFESSIONAL MARKETING

Who is the Certificate in Professional Marketing for?

Aimed at junior marketers, those who are working in supporting marketing roles, usually within the marketing function, but also individuals in more senior roles, particularly in SMEs, where marketing is an element of their responsibilities.



Qualification Structure



The certificate qualification consists of three modules, two mandatory and one elective. Complete two mandatory modules and one elective module to achieve the full qualification. There is a choice of elective modules and we will be continually reviewing them and adding more in line with industry demands. 

Entry Requirements

One or more of the following is required to gain entry onto this qualification:
  • CIM Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Marketing qualification.
  • Any relevant Level 3 qualification.
  • Any UK degree or international equivalent.
  • International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above).
  • Professional practice (suggested one year in a marketing role) plus diagnostic assessment onto Level 4.
  If English is not your first language, you will also need to provide evidence of achieving one of the following English language qualifications within the last two years: IELTS Academic Module with overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above. CIM DIPLOMA IN PROFESSIONAL MARKETING

Ideal for marketers who are responsible for the marketing process at an operational level (e.g. Marketing Managers), as well as those who are looking to build on the knowledge gained at Certificate in Professional Marketing level with a future marketing management role in mind.

QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE

Martin is a self-acclaimed workaholic and the founder of Cambridge Professional Academy. As a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Institute of Sales and Marketing (ISMM) he successfully blends a broad range of business disciplines. Coupled with his in-depth knowledge of all areas of business and keen interest in IT and programming, and financial management skills, Martin leads by example.



 

He is often asked to speak at conferences and events on a wide range of subjects ranging from Internet Strategy, Sales and Motivation. Martin is a sales person at heart and has written on the subject for a wide range of purposes not least the material used in Cambridge Professional Academy's sales training programmes.



 

Having started his career as a welder, progressing on to a range of senior sales and marketing roles, Martin has been either MD or General Manager since the age of 25 for whoever he has worked for aAn energetic, positive individual who seeks to inspire and motivate everybody he works with, Martin never shies away from a challenge and revels in the ups and downs of running a business.When he is not working you will often see him buzzing around the skies in a four seat light aircraft as the proud holder of his Private Pilots License.

Working at design and advertising agencies as well as directly with organisations I have gained experience on accounts such as Tesco, Anglian Home Improvements and Age UK as well as a number of business-to-business and consumer-facing brands.

Organised, yet creative, I am as well suited in creating digital campaign strategies as I am working directly with a creative team on solving branding and advertising briefs. I utilise my background in graphic design, branding and advertising to ensure strategic consistency throughout the creative process.

In addition, I am a guest speaker at the University of East Anglia, where I have delivered seminars and workshops to business and marketing students. I also deliver these workshops at corporate conferences and events.

 

Mr. Mike Berry

Visiting Professor (Hult International Business School -London) FCIM, MDMI



…is an internationally recognised lecturer and consultant in Marketing with a specialist in Digital Marketing. He has a BSc (Mathematics) and MSc (Social and Economic Studies) from Imperial College, London. Over a 30-year business and academic career, he has worked at P&G and held senior roles at top global Advertising Agencies including Wunderman/ Y&R, Euro RSCG (Havas) and Interpublic (IPG). He was Head of Digital for EMEA at Jack Morton Worldwide before becoming a freelance consultant and lecturer. He has worked with many of the world’s top brands including Deloitte, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Nestlé, Xerox, JP Morgan and GSK.

As Visiting Professor, he teaches Undergraduates and Postgraduates at Hult International Business School, London.

He is a Course Director for CIM specialising in Digital Strategy.

Mike is Course Leader (MSc Strategic Marketing-Digital Fundamentals) at Imperial College London and Mike is a visiting lecturer and MSc Assignment Supervisor at the University of Warwick and guest lecturer at Cranfield School of Management. He was a Speaker at TEDxUCL in 2014. Over the last 18 months, he has delivered Digital Marketing Training/ Keynote Presentations in over 20 countries. Mike also runs his own Digital/ Strategic Marketing Consultancy, Mike Berry Associates. He is the author/co-author of 3 books including  The Best of Global Digital Marketing
